Compensation Details

The Board of Governors of Florida's university system has confirmed the hiring of Ben Sasse as the new president of the University of Florida. Sasse will receive a base salary of $1 million. He is also eligible for a 4% annual raise, which could increase his salary to $1.4 million by the end of his fifth year. In addition, Sasse will receive a $200,000 bonus for each year he completes on the job, up to a maximum of $600,000 over his first three years.

Performance-Based Bonuses

Sasse is also eligible for performance-based bonuses of up to 15% of his base salary if he meets certain goals. These goals include increasing student enrollment, graduation rates, and research funding. Sasse will be eligible for these bonuses annually, up to a maximum of $150,000 per year.

Total Compensation

Combining his base salary, annual raises, completion bonuses, and performance bonuses, Sasse's total compensation could reach $1.75 million per year by the end of his fifth year as president of the University of Florida.
